How it all began

The first time I saw John, was in our friend's basement Halloween night 2020. We both decided last minute to attend a Halloween party, and John was the only one there who wasn't wearing a costume. So me being the social person I am I commented on how I liked his costume and it sparked an hour long conversation about who knows what. If I had to describe what the movies call "love at first sight" I'm pretty sure it would be this moment! I felt so weird to feel such a strong connection with someone and so drawn to his energy I left the conversation without even saying bye. Naturally that night after I got home he followed me on social media and a year later we were at the same bar in our hometown. I remember glancing over at him and thinking, Oh, wow, he’s still as cute as I remember! So I messaged him and the rest is history.

Who made the first move?

Alisha! She asked if I wanted to get sushi but "just as friends " of course LOL

Who's going to take out the trash?

John takes the trash out but Alisha puts a new bag in after ( EVERY TIME)

What was your most memorable date?

We have SO MANY, it's so hard to choose!
One of our favorite dates was during our trip to Seattle. We spent the day at Pike's Place and got some fresh King Salmon and vegetables from the market. The next day we drove to a cabin in the mountains where we smoked the Salmon and had a beautiful dinner! Alisha may or may not have used a literal shelf as a cutting board....

What's your favorite activity together?

Currently our favorite activity together is biking! usually anything active we love doing together.

What's the best meal you have eaten together?

We are huge foodies so we have quite the list of best meals!
Our top three would be: pasta in Rome, Mexican food at a Michelin restaurant in NYC, and a steakhouse in Dallas!

What's the most memorable trip you have taken together?

Italy was by far our most memorable trip, it has a special place in our hearts!

when we first met we both talked about how we had wanted to travel Europe and to be able to actually accomplish It together was so special!

We’re on the same page about

God, good food, and good times with people we love!

A life goal of ours

To continue investing in each other and live a life full of love and adventure!

The dorkiest thing about us is

We have our own nicknames for things that make zero sense and we're on a bowling league haha!

A social cause we care about

Supporting local! We are so passionate about supporting small businesses and supporting local to see them thrive!

We are regulars at

- Church
- working out
- Larcher's ( the best breakfast/coffee place in town!)
- Derby Bowl

How did you propose

THIS IS MY FAVORITE STORY TO TELL hehe

John proposed to me in Positano, Italy on our last couple days there, he had champagne and a local florist make a beautiful bouquet for the special moment. After he proposed to me, we walked on the beach and it was only us and it was such beautiful moment. Another special moment I will never forget is calling my family and friends right after !

Funny enough I was 99% sure it wasn't going to happen because John hadn't acted weird once AND he didn't talk to my dad. The weekend before we left for Italy, my dad was suppose to visit but ended up having to cancel. I found out later that he had taken a flight to Texas to have lunch with my dad to ask for his blessing, and drove back the same day to get home in time from "work" and I had NO IDEA. That part of the story shows the type of man John is and I'm so lucky to get to spend a life with someone like that!

WE ARE SO EXCITED FOR THE OPPORTUNITY TO HAVE OUR DREAM INTIMATE WEDDING WITH ALL OF YOU.

When we first sat down to wedding plan we knew immediately that we didn’t want our wedding to feel like a party. We love the idea of celebrating with friends and family but we wanted a more intentional and intimate celebration. After going back and forth about where to have it we threw out the crazy idea of having it in Italy. We knew we would love to revisit the place that we fell in love with and getting to experience it with our loved one’s seemed like a dream come true.

We hope that each and everyone of y’all know we do not take it lightly that you have decided to attend our wedding, as we know it is BIG ask. We will never find the right words to express the extreme gratitude we have and the overwhelming joy it brings us. From the bottom our hearts, we appreciate you, we love you, and we can’t wait to see you in Italy!!
